قلعه نزوی در قرن 17 میلادی ساخته شده است. این قلعه با ارتفاع 34 متر و قطر 45 متری نقش بسیار مهمی در تاریخ عمان دارد. شکل گیری این قلعه علاوه بر اینکه یک مرکز دفاعی بود، سبب شکل گیری اقتصاد محلی و تبادلات فرهنگی و تجاری با دیگر مناطق شد

بعد از بازدید از قلعه نزوی به یکی از معروف ترین رستوران های محلی نزوی می رویم. جایی که قرار است معروف ترین غذای سنتی عمانی گوشت شوا را امتحان کنیم. شوا یک روش پخت غذا است که در آن گوشت ادویه دار شده را در برگ موز پیچیده و در گودالی پر از زغال قرار می دهند و در گودال را می بندند تا گوشت به آرامی پخته شود
